About eARTh Lab

eARTh Lab is a youth arts education program of eight weekly workshops, located in Western Sculpture Park, that invites participation free of charge especially from families in the park’s vicinity. Curated projects center workshops meant to develop skills, promote personal growth, and to encourage a new generation of active citizens. Workshops engage teaching artists, education interns, and wonderful volunteers in learning that is open to youth 6 to 12 years old. Free snacks are provided by eARTh Lab, a program generously supported in its entirety by the Ecolab Foundation. Moreover, eARTh Lab locates near the park’s rain garden, whose maintenance is made possible by funding from Capital Region Watershed District.

 

Location

Work for this position is remote, except for two meetings, and on session Tuesdays, when the location becomes the program site in Western Sculpture Park, Saint Paul.

 

Compensation

A stipend of $1000 paid in two instalments of $500, in the second half of each of July, and August 2026.

 

Term

Nine consecutive Tuesdays, June 16-August 11, noon-4:30 PM, as well as two meetings prior and two thereafter.

 

Job Description

*Assisting with set-up (must arrive by noon at Western Sculpture Park)

*Checking youth in (starting at 1:00 PM), recording their name and parent contact, then setting them up with a name tag

*Leading DIY table (creating activities for youth to engage in, assisting youth with projects), to supplement the main art workshops

*Assembling gift bags (assembling evenly allotted gift bags to attending youth)

*Assisting with tear-down (4:00-4:30 PM)
