In Public Art Saint Paul’s Creative Grounds we support mid-career artists in socially engaged work that aims to illuminate conditions and change the way individuals behave and cities act as we shape the urban future. We foster cross-disciplinary exploration and creation of collaborative cohorts. We bring forth major projects that revitalize urban spaces and foster the well-being of our beloved community. Our work has had tremendous impact throughout our city and beyond with a sculpture park and its free art making workshops revitalizing a core city neighborhood, an international stone carving symposium fostering international amity, a City Art Collaboratory engaging artists and STEM professionals in action around water quality, a 6-mile art exhibition illuminating the language of urbanism, and a community meal bringing 2,000 to share a meal and change the urban food system.
