For 30 years, Public Art Saint Paul has worked collaboratively with the City to bring new ideas and energy to city systems, such as poems imprinted in city sidewalks and artful stop sign posts.
Since 2005, our City Artist program has become one of the country’s most successful examples of the impact artists can have working within city government. City Artists advise on major city initiatives and lead their own artistic and curatorial projects. With dedicated workspace in City Hall, they can freely collaborate across city departments on parks, planning, public works, libraries, street and sidewalk maintenance, the urban forest, and programming of public spaces. Public Art Saint Paul’s City Artist is Aaron Dysart.
